Do You Wish Fear Didn’t Control You in Ministry?

[tentblogger-vimeo 68309975]

Being scared is part of the human condition and no one can avoid it. But being scared cannot be what dictates how we lead and press out. If we are going to be on the edge of faith and lead initiatives to start new things, then two things are guaranteed:

  1. A lot of fear will come up
  2. You will have the choice to let fear paralyze you or not

It is the journey of every planter to learn to hear God’s voice that calls them into faith and through fear.

But how do you actually start something new when all your insecurities, fears, and worries flood into your heart and mind?

I don’t have a perfect answer for you, but Nick Kwok battled all those things this year as he planted Greek work at UCLA.

He was scared and freaked out much of the time, but he never let it stop him. He chose faith most of the time instead of fear.

Above is his video testimony of what God did in him this year as a planter and also what God did in the ministry leading people to Christ and forming a core team.

Hopefully we can all be a little bit more like Nick!
