Pray For Fraternity & Sorority Students Today

As many of you know my wife and I work with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship with a specific emphasis in reaching fraternity and sorority students. We moved to LA two and a half years ago to start a ministry that would reach all 17 Greek Systems in the Greater Los Angeles area.

One of the highlights of the year is National Greek Conference in Indianapolis and it is this weekend. There are 650 students here – all Greek – and they are seeking God and surrendering their life to him in many ways. We have flown out over 20 students from LA to be a part of this awesome conference.

Greek students are an interesting bunch of people. They are some of the sharpest leaders and socialites on campus, and its no wonder so many of them go on to be great business and political leaders. But they can also be a community of great hurt as detailed in this story and a few others online this year.

My wife and I have been charged by God to reach these students and lead them into Kingdom transformation.

This is a favorite weekend of mine as hundreds will come to faith in Jesus and surrender their lives to Him. Others will commit to starting ministry in their Greek Chapters on campus and becoming leaders of Kingdom influence.

I personally am going to be assisting in leading a breakout of 116 students that have signed up for a concentration called “Connect”. These 116 students either don’t have a  relationship with God or have fallen so far away that they need to re-connect again this weekend. They have traveled all over the country to be here and to seek Jesus.

Please pray for these students that they would meet Jesus powerfully this weekend.

Thank you so much,

Beau

P.S. If you are Greek or have a heart to pray or support ministry to Greeks, please join our personal prayer team and we will send you a monthly email with ways to pray more intelligently about the ministry in Los Angeles.
